The lamb of God

John baptised Jesus as it must be told
He was the Son of our wonderful God
After that John knew he would decrease
For it was Jesus' time to finally increase...
John told his followers to no longer follow him
But to follow the blessed Lamb of God
For it was He who would carry the sins of the world
The saddest thing was that none would accept Him
They called Him blasphemer and were angered
"Blessed is he who is not ashamed of me" he said
In the Synagogue they were angry and upset
They expelled our Lord: screamed at him
Good men followed Jesus where he led
They accepted Him as the man that John had said
Soon they could see how he truly was the one
They he was the promised messiah, God's Blessed Son
