Leading a horse to water

So it is true: you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink!
The same with telling someone something; explaining it all but you can't make them think!
Why is it that we are so set in our ways? Why are we so damned upset?
When we think we really know it all but we aren't even anywhere close to it!
Dear Lord what a mess we make with our lives: when we think we are always right!
But truly it may seem like we are so "on the right track" but in reality
There is still so much that we really lack! If we do not open up our minds?
If we only look at something "one-eyed" how will we ever understand?
How our dear Lord in heaven wants us to see things from His perspective!
From His way of looking at everything: untainted by our petty human minds
Yes we may feel we are great Christians but if we only see half the picture?
How will we ever understand the gist of it: how will we ever really see?
That everyone is our neighbour! Everyone is our "fellow-man"
No matter when or where we came to our understanding:
No matter how we come to understand: it is not about our placement
It is not about where we come in that certain long winding line!
It is all about our personal relationship with God
It is all about getting to know our saviour personally: yes in our own lives!
For Jesus took our sins upon his shoulders: carried them to the cross on Calvary
There he cried out his pain & each & everyone of us was saved
Simply because God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son
To save each & everyone of us from our sins!
