It's such a terrible feeling when
Someone you love is in pain
You feel so helpless and useless
When you can not ease their complaint
Your heart is hurting with them
Your mind is in such turmoil
You cannot but suffer along with them
As you try to find a way to aid them
Simple prayers go a long way but
It is only when they get some relief
That you can finally say: thank God amen!
