The Research Centre

We used to go to the Research Centre
Just up the road from Loxton High School
We'd do science experiments about the weather
All sorts of information we got from there
Wind speed, rain fall data: everything we studied
Using it for our school work: yes indeed!

Many years later Tim and I called in to ask
Would they like the carpets cleaned?
We would do a good job: it was a huge place
Many long corridors there were to clean
Oh how much I wished then: that it were smaller
As I had to carry those bucket loads of water
Yes the I wished we hadn't got the job
Surely you must know what I mean!
The thought of all those corridors was daunting
But we worked hard for two weeks
Getting all those carpets cleaned!
