Primal scream

He found the body sitting in the car
Tired in vain to move him: too late by far
Struggled to comprehend the danger
Was overcome by anguish: breathing fast
Somebody was screaming: why wouldn't they stop at last
Couldn't fully understand what was happening
Where was that sound coming from?
His mates they came running: ready to assist
They turned the car off: pulled it out of the garage
Opened up the doors to see what could be done
He remembers the shaking: the desperate pleas
Couldn't stop the tears he shed: drying upon his cheeks
Too late to stop the torment: too late to stop the fears
A life was suddenly ended: no time to question why
Only sadness as reality hit him right between the eyes
Police were called: ambulance took the body away
Such a sad way to end his equally sad days
