L is for Learner

My son has finally got his Learner's permit
He drove home from Gawler yesterday!
it was a little bit scary at times I must admit
As it was his very first time for driving!
He was excited to be driving the car but
Also a bit scared! There was a bit of traffic
On the road as we travelled home
He got very good by the end of it!
In Gawler we saw a carload of youths
Being pulled over by the police
Thank God they are finally doing something
About groups of teens driving together
Too many times it is groups who drive to fast
Groups of teens being egged on by mates
Who end up crashing their cars in accidents!
I pray that more people pay attention
Whilst at the wheel of a car
It is way too easy to end up in a ditch
It is way too easy to end up dead
it only takes a second of inattentiveness
Yes it only takes a second to crash and burn!
