Trip to Adelaide Zoo

We went for a trip to Adelaide Zoo
 I went with Vanessa and Shelley
With Santiago and Zecarias too!
Tio Josh came along to see the sights
We walked everywhere to see them all!
All those animals just waiting for us
To come along and visit them that day!
We saw Wang Wang and Funi
Playing around and eating bamboo shoots
We saw the hippopotamus taking a dip
The Pigmy Hippos were swimming too!
We saw a lioness sunning herself
On a great big grassy mound
I tried to make a lion sound
To make her feel at home!
Santiago joined me in growling and
The lioness answered back as well!
Zecarias was carried by Tio Josh
As we walked around the place
He enjoyed running around
On the green green grass
Right in the middle near the flamingos
He had such a great time looking
At all those beautiful animals
We saw a tiger relaxing in the dappled shade
We even heard the birds making a racket
As they cawed and screeched very loudly
Right into our poor ears!
I saw an Echidna digging into the ground
And lots of lyrebirds making nice new nests
The peacock was strutting around
Looking very, very proud
And we heard the lions roaring
From the other side!
The phone rang as we were looking around
Tata Tim rang up telling us all
About the snake he'd found inside!
He and Michael were at home
Trying to relax when he saw a movement
He ran for the shovel leaning outside on the wall
He left poor Michael in there keeping it in sight
Until he was back again dealing that fatal blow
Saying to that snake: you should be outside
That's where you're supposed to live!
I thanked the dear Lord for keeping them safe
And we were all very thankful
That all the snakes in the zoo
Were kept behind lots of nice thick glass!
