Cat & mouse

Vanessa loved her little pet mouse
She was a pretty little brown & white
She played with her every day
Taking her all around the house
She talked to her & loved her so!
One day Vanessa decided
To introduce her two best friends
But as you know: cat & mouse
Can never be best mates
That is the trouble with this tale
Lady was nice & easy to bring
But the cat didn't know the thing
It thought Lady was a gift indeed
Thanked Vanessa with amazing speed
That cat had poor lady in it's mouth
Wouldn't ever want to give her back
Vanessa screamed and held on tight
Tried to take her poor Lady back
But all she had within her little hand
Was poor little Lady's bottom & tail!
After much crying & sobbing for sure
Poor Vanessa learned a lot that day!
