I saw the most awful yellow teeth
I felt sorry for that young woman
She couldn't have been more that 30
But her teeth were so yellow & dirty
Poor woman what have you done?
Taking all those terrible drugs: heroin
Have surely brought your life undone?
Poor young woman what made you do it?
Why would you ruin your life?
Was it so difficult a life to live?
Did no-one give you enough love?
What happened to cause such strife?
Poor young woman I saw you
So many years ago: it was
Are you still among us?
Do you still try to smile?
Or has everything taken its toll?
Are you just a memory to someone?
