Why is it that we say?
"I'm as sick as a dog!"
Why not: as sick as a cat?
Or I'm as sick as a horse
Would that be worse?
Of course we could say
I'm as sick a mouse!
Maybe even as sick as a louse
What does it mean?
If you're feeling blue?
Do we ever feel green?
What about red or grey?
Or maybe even black
Is it something we lack?
What a mess we're in
When we can't even
Understand these things...
I remember one girl in school
She used to feel that her days
Were made up of different colours
Like grey days or red days
Maybe even some stay in bed days
I guess that makes sense
But at what expense?
We are surrounded by colour
Everything in nature is colourful
So why not have a colourful language?
