Do unto others

You've heard that old saying
Do unto others as you would
Have them do unto you
If only it were that simple?
If only we could think upon this?
And not become such annoying pests
Why is it that we become so selfish?
Why is it that so many are so cruel?
They don't even want to understand
How God made things to go as planned
If we truly loved our neighbour as ourselves?
We would never ever want hurt another soul!
Our thoughts & words would be so sweet
We would always smile upon our family
We would happily help others across the street
Lord please forgive us for our sins
If only we would forgive those who hurt us too!
