If the usefulness of a pot
Comes from its emptiness?
Could we who strive for peace
Understand life any less?
An empty mind may thus be filled
With so many words: this and that
How much more a life of bliss?
Yes: we should all think on this!
To say good things in moderation
May raise us up above our station
A blessed thing it is to give
To little children who crave our aid
Our guidance: our love: our precious time
If a generous part of ourselves we give?
To raise up good souls unto our Lord
This is the blessed consequence!
