Many long years ago when I was just a lass
I'd sit under the apple tree having such a blast
Reading a book of mine in the sunshine
Enjoying the summer breeze blowing around
Straight off the beach it would come
To cool those glorious hot sunny days
Lazy summertime: spent with Kaiser too!
Then when I was pregnant I enjoyed it still
Waiting for my first born to come over that hill
Oh those were the days I must say to you
Expecting a little one: our precious little girl
Now as I reminisce on my earlier life
I am so happy to be expecting again
But this time it is our little grand-daughter
She will join us all very soon
Ready to have lots of fun in the sun
In this wonderful country that I call home!
