My whispered prayer

In darkness as I pray Lord
As I kneel and bow my head
I ask for your forgiveness
I feel thy touch upon my head

I ask and it is given
I seek and yes I find
I knock and the door is opened
By your light I am made blind

I pray for all who hunger
I pray for all who thirst
I pray and you do answer
Your strength: I feel it burst

Yes I pray quietly: I whisper
Your hear me, yes you do
I hear your voice inside me
I feel your Godly power too

I whisper: hear me whisper
I whisper: call thy name
I whisper: I do beg you
Forgive my sin: my shame
