The one thing

We humans wander through our lives
Looking for that supernatural spark
That amazing spiritual connection...
We are always seeking: never finding
We search our whole lives through
Looking for that something: me too
But though we search everywhere
Though we seek we cannot seem to find
Have we put on blinkers? Are we blind?
Why is it that we cannot find that one thing...
Why do we miss the signs before our very eyes?
Why are we so lost: confounded by and by?
Do we fill ourselves with worldly woes?
Do we simply dig in and ignore those signs?
Do we suffer for our small mindedness?
Ah indeed it is very true: I must confess...
Unless we lift ourselves above this earthly plane?
Unless we simply accept that there is more...
Yes; there is so much more for us to explore!
Unless we can raise our vibrations up a notch or two
We will ever be less than what is possible...
This is that vital truth I am telling you...
So look inside yourself and seek in there
Realise that the truth is out there waiting...
Then you will surely see at last
"The very thing you're looking for...
Seems to be the one thing you can never see"
Changes by a miracle...to be
The one precious thing...
To be found...
Right there: inside of thee...
Finally you will be set free...
