Look ever upward to your Saviour

Yes, to Him who holds the gate!

Satan’s darts may sting you

But never ever hesitate

Look upward Christian soldier

Do not turn: never look back

For Satan also climbed the ladder

But was halted along the track

Though he was the brightest angel

Though he thought to be the best

God tossed him out of heaven

God tossed him out in disgrace

God showed us all his trickery

God showed us all his true face

So though he tries to claim us

Though he seeks to make us fall

Never give in to his evil angels

Never surrender up your goal!
