A sacred service

How many remember the foot washing ceremony?
That Jesus performed at the Last Supper...
In divine reverence He lowered Himself to His knees
He washed the feet of His disciples and showed them
That in humbling Himself, in serving others...
They should continue His ordinances of service
He was willing to do this simple service unto them
He taught them this service and explained 
That they should do this in remembrance of Him
That they should practice this sacred ordinance
Until He returned to take them home again, with Him
After this special ceremony, Jesus broke bread with them
Saying "this is my body" broken for you
Take, eat, in remembrance of me..."
He took the wine and said "This is my blood...
Shed for you, take, drink, in remembrance of me"

This blessed ceremony is still done in His honour...
Will be done in His honour...until He comes again...
