They just do not understand

So many social experiments 
Going on all over the globe
Hidden cameras all over the place
Filming these people: this human race
Someone suddenly collapses...
Falls down and can't get up...
But nobody stops to ask the questions...
"Are you okay? Can I help you?"
Nobody cares to lend a helping hand
Nobody dares to offer up their love...
What's going on in this crazy world?
Where is the sympathy: the human love?
Whatever happened to these people's hearts?
Whatever happened to compassion: for a start?
Where is the love that should be there?
Does everyone just continue on: without a care?
I feel ashamed for all these hardened hearts...
I feel sorry for the way that none will bend
I feel disgusted that nobody seems to care...
Whatever happened to "love your neighbour as yourself"?
Whatever happened to getting back to nature?
Caring for your fellow woman, fellow man...
Ah dear Lord I am sorry...they just do not understand...
