I'm not one to scream and shout
To make my point of view heard
I'd rather wait and work in quiet
To be there at those times
When someone needs a listening heart
To help the burdens bear.
I'm not one to primp and preen
To show the world I'm here
I'd rather not be seen at all
Just hiding out the back
To support the ones who need a hand
When troubles times are here.
I'm quiet and shy to boot
But no longer need I hide my light
My Lord needs me to shine
To show the people one by one
That our dear Lord is near
So listen to my poetry
All who would understand my heart
My true colours are here within
These words are from my heart!
