Time passes quickly
Underneath this burning sun
Days fly by like nothing
Though grieving's barely begun
How come I am left here?
How come you have gone?
The choices that we made dear
Begin to come undone
It's like it was just yesterday
It's like it was many years ago
Time flies past on massive wings
Memories come drifting along
I feel so lost, alone at times
Some days still full of tears
But though I'm grieving honey
I'm also remembering our years
The good times and the bad ones
The silly things we've said and done
Though it's all there to remember
Some things are better left unsaid
So as I go about my days here
In this my life that's on the run
I learn from our past mistakes
And simply have to move along
