Valentine's Day

It's Valentine's day
A big deal in the USA
Lovers together everywhere
Eating dinner without a care
Giving chocolates...giving love
But really: what does this prove?
One day in a year to celebrate love?
Shouldn't we love each other?
Much more consistently?
Yes: each and every day 
Of the blessed year!

God loves us so very much
But do we really care?
Do we do our very best?
To love Him in return?
How come we forget Him?
How come we forget His gifts?
How come we only pray?
When we need something...
When we are sad and in despair...
It should be that we celebrate God's Day
Every single day of the year
Not just at Christmas and Easter time!

Oh what sadness: what despair
It's all commercialised: all about greed
Not about His real love! 
Not about how much He cared!

God gave His only begotten Son
That we might be saved: not brought undone!
Hasn't He already given everything?
To save us...
To free us...
But what do we do?
Forget Him...
Forget His words...
Forget until we fall...

Well, Satan is so very happy
He goes about as a roaring lion
He is glad that we are so slap happy
Glad that we live close to despair
He wants us to be fighting
He wants us to be split asunder
He causes chaos my dear
He: Satan is the evil one!
He: Satan grins delightedly!

When we forget to thank our Master
When we ignore God's pleas

Ah he is the master of iniquity
The master of deceit
Delights in our downfall
Delights in our disease
Creator of bedlam
Creator of hatred: true
He will do anything 
To trap you!
