Playing with fire again

Please be careful: please be aware
When you play with temptation
In this Godless, lawless nation
Satan's wiles are many: everywhere!
Can you fight against the evil one
Do you think that you can win?
He is the instigator: the creator of all sin!
Without Jesus' strength and power
Can you survive his masterful attack?
Between the hours of darkness and light?
That long and lonely night
When Satan comes to test
He seeks to devour all comers
He seeks to take us all: no jest!
He shows no remorse for your soul
He comes to steal it all away
Everything you have fought for
In that brightest day
His darkness sneaks up on you 
Silently it creeps into your light
Little by little; inch by inch
You never even feel that evil pinch
Till it's too late you know
And then those seeds are sown
They grow up within your mind and soul
That's exactly how Satan seeks to take control!

Sin enters like a pinprick
Spreads like roots of oak
It may seem such a little thing to do
A tiny little slip aside: but woe betide
He makes it look so harmless
So insignificant: so unremarkable
But each time you give in
He draws you in a little further: it's true!
Until he's got his claws: his talons into you!

So watch and be wary
Do not give in to him
Take up Jesus' promises
Give your life unto Him
Allow Jesus to protect you
Call upon His blessed name
For in doing so you are overcoming
You are sending that evil from the fray
Cry out unto your Lord 
Use His armour
Do not be enslaved!
