Had a lovely dinner with my friends
It's been a few months since we met
Life gets in the way some crazy days
Things happen to interfere it's true
So I just didn't get to see all of you
Broke my arm about four months ago
Couldn't even drive my car at all
But last night we all caught up again
Had a great meal: good company indeed
We shared a few of our burdens too
Helped each other cope I hope
With all the things that bring us low
It's true what they say all along
A burden shared does ease your load
Knowing that we are not alone
That if we need there is the phone
I thank the Lord for friendships
They are truly blessings in my eyes
