It is always better to feel thankful
Than to be murmuring and sad
A heavy heart is lifted when we
Think of things that make us glad
Lift up your eyes and heart to Jesus...
Remember all that He has done
Paid your price: granted your freedom
Given you strength to overcome...
All things are possible with Him beside you
All things will come to those who wait
He has promised to deliver...
Promised to hear our pleas...
So why wallow in self pity?
When there is joy to find anon
Look up and allow the angels
To comfort you when times are tough
For has not our prince of peace promised
We shall not be overcome...
