Saved by the bell

How many of us have been saved by the bell?
You know you're in trouble: cannot escape your hell
Someone comes along just as you're about to fall
They take the time to help you: lift you as you stall
Stuck in a rut: maybe even hate the life you have to live...
Everything seems tied in darkness: nothing good to see
Then something happens to change it all: life gives
You a second chance: maybe even a third: you're free
Dear Jesus sends His angels: answers your prayers
Though you thought you weren't worth it: you are alive
Because He has already made the greatest sacrifice
Jesus has paid your price: paid it all in full: go forth, thrive
Upon His promises: live by His blessed word...
He sees into your future: already knows your past
No matter where this life has dragged you...
Take up the cross that you have been cast
Allow his grace to be sufficient: accept His promises
He has made life eternal: available: cleansed you of your sins
By His blood you are made worthy: washed away everything
But you need to accept this most gracious gift of His
You need to follow after Him: no denying His great love
Look up to see His soon coming: in the clouds He comes
