Does the current seek to take you?
Away from Him
Would leaving the safety
Of the white sandy shores
Steal today's peace? I say...
Have you lost your oars?
Are you struggling to float?
Does your tiny little boat?
Seek a harbour it cannot see?
Are you forbidden a landing
By strong sea breezes...
Do you lack understanding?
Waves crashing round your ears
Have you grappled with your fears?
Do they grow with the waves?
Tempests still and then grow
Only Jesus really knows
Just how the storm winds blow
He is the light house upon the shore
His words the light that never dims
Cast your anchor lest you be
Ship-wrecked, lost...
Marooned, distressed, destroyed
Only Jesus can rescue thee
