Castles, clouds and butterflies

During our morning tea breaks
Nancy and Jenny and I would play
We'd pretend we lived in castles
Made some towers out of bricks
Fought wars and battles round the side
Of that old brick apricot cutting shed
We built our empires, tore them down
Started all over again; the very next day
What fun we had with make believe
On those glorious summer days
I loved to visit their home up the road
To me it was a beautiful wonderland
The tiny blooming Lantana flowers
So bright in their oranges and yellows
Brought magnificent Wanderer Butterflies
To their magical garden, underneath
Those hot and cloudy summer skies
At Kingston-on-Murray in the 1960's
