Nana Lindy & uncle Terry

Nana Lindy loved her family
She loved her brother Terry
They were always chatting
On the telephone
Uncle Terry was seriously ill
When he was very young
He was a bit slow and grumpy
He didn't like to talk to new people
He was a great uncle
Always giving away his vegetables
Always working at the church
He was always riding his bicycle
Everywhere he went
He decided to ride all the way
To our home at Sedan
To visit his sister Evelyn
(Whom they all called Lindy)
He got as far as Gepps Cross
Before he decided to grab a cab
Arrived late at night
It cost him almost all his winnings
Uncanny luck he had on the horses
The luck of the Irish
Nana used to call him "Wait a minute"
'Cause that's what he always said
If someone asked him to do something
"Wait a minute" was his reply!
