Our friends had an old
rainwater tank
Behind their home out back
of Glossop
During summertime we swam
there
So many kids plashing
around!
We must have splashed out half
the water
With all our screaming and
jumping around!
We cut apricots there as
well to help out!
They had a little railway
track
They moved those trays along
Ready to be spread them out
To dry in the summer sun!
I remember a rainy day
When we were all there
helping out
Picking and cutting
All of those ripe apricots
It had to be done really
quickly
Before those split apricots
went off!
