Had a catch-up lunch today
One of those quiet lunches you have
Chatting quietly with old friends
You haven't seen for ages
Simply because life gets in the way
You move house; your kids grow up
You have grandchildren too
You're always run off your feet
Trying to keep up with people you meet
Forgetting about old friends you missed along the way
Then suddenly twenty years have passed
You meet up at someone's birthday party
You promise to catch up but again time gets in the way
Well today: we caught up again over a meal
Simply enjoyed the time spent just chatting
Reminiscing; updating, appreciating everything!
I think that mutual lunches make family (and friends or neighbours) more near to our hearts. Greetings from cold and windy Poland!
