Santiago's first school concert

It was Santiago's first school concert yesterday
The weather was unpredictable to say the least
We bought some chairs to take to sit on; that was on the list
Organised the baby's stuff, nappies & such: could't be missed
Thought we be the smart ones: set up those chairs ahead
(Thank God we did so as later on it rained a bit!)
We were under cover as the show progressed!
They were Going to the movies: took us along with them
Had us bopping along to the music: families singing
Everyone cheering as their children danced along
We had Ghost Busters, we had Grease blasting out
Little Zac was not happy: it was all too loud for his little ears!
Baby Evaleah woke up soon as the music blared
Just as well we brought the pram along: it was well shared
Zac climbed into that cocoon of quiet safety: had the iPad
He didn't care about anything then as he was ably amused
He only came out to eat something as the night progressed
Truly we had a good time: really we were blessed!
I could just see Santiago up on stage: I had perfect line of sight
I watched as he danced along with his whole reception class
They danced to Shake your tail feathers dressed up as chickens
I could tell he was having some fun as he twisted & turned about!
After he'd been on that stage I didn't need to watch
So I just listened to that music coming thick & fast
The songs from Disney's Mary Poppins, brought back memories
They danced along to Singing in the rain quite appropriately
As the rain came on down: then we bopped along to songs from Shrek
Moved it to Madagascar and Spider Man as well!
Bought the house down with The Time Warp: excellent fun it was
The bigger kids danced to Footloose,  Pirates of the Caribbean
And Men in Black: it was great to watch their acrobatics up on stage
What a wonderful time was had by all those school families
