You don't care about your life
After all, you've been through so much strife!
You don't want to move at all
You just want to sit and ... vegetate
You've lost your zest for life
You couldn't be bothered about anything
But I want to make you see
This life you have with me...
I know it hasn't always been the best
But honey; can't you see how we've been blessed?
Our children have grown up and flown
To better pastures than our own!
I know there were times; and there will be still
When tempers flare and misunderstandings come
But isn't that what happens to everyone?
Why should we be any different?
Look at all the good things that are here
See the positive instead of the downside dear
If only you would give it half a smile
It would all be so worthwhile!
Just half a smile is all it takes
To get those good mood endorphins wide awake
Just move those muscles half an inch
You'll feel better in a pinch!
The contagion is worth your while!
Think upon these good things my love
Think upon our dear Lord up above
He loves you no matter what you've done!
He gave you His only begotten son!
He wants to see you fight and not give up!
To see you discover it's all been worthwhile!
Every pain and sorrow that has been and gone
Makes tomorrow brighter love
See the joy in our grandson's eyes
See the smiles of our little ones
Life eternal is available for us all!
