The sun was shining, the sky was clear
There was birdsong in the air
The grass was green, the picnickers keen!
The little family was together
Enjoying the lovely weather
Proud father looking on!
Happy for his girls, his son
As the mother laid the meal
The kids showed their zeal!
This was the scene that I saw
As I looked out my front door!
My proud little Mary giving her milk
To her three little fluffy kittens
With Sora, their big black dad
The toughest of cats of that ilk!
