Forgive her for she knows not what she says
Forgive her for she knows not what she does
Her eyes though open do not yet really see
They only see what they want to see!
She only knows what she wants to know!
The knowledge of life and how to live it
As yet escapes her grasp and she is is livid!
As yet she is still that little child
And knowing this you must understand her mind
She is that little child who needs your love
Treat her with kindness and with joy above
As you would treat your own small child
Who knows not any better yet
But will learn it all in her own good time!
