Time

If Time was a prison cell?
How upset would you be?
There is no way of stopping it!
So would you make merry?
If Time stood still?
Would you appreciate?
The blessing it could be?
Or would you only be upset?
No future there to see?
If you could keep your children small?
For ever and a day?
Would you really relish it?
Or feel burdened in this way?
So does Time keep you a prisoner?
Trapped in one still day frame?
Is there something you would change?
Should that chance ever came?
Are you alone or need to see?
How lucky you would be?
Should chance come?
And Time stopped one day?
Is there something that you blame?
No escaping it forever still the same?
What holds you in that moment? 
What is frozen in still-frame?
Are you Time's reluctant passenger?
No cause to enjoy what came?
How many great memories have you made?
Do you feel you've made the grade?
Don't wallow in self-pity!
Move on forward with each moment!
And enjoy your life again!
What's past is past the second's tick
The future comes whether you're ready or not
You surely know it's impossible
To stop that old darned clock!
But is there joy for you to feel?
Can you but wander down old memories' wide lane?
Those memories should be a pleasure
Not a horrid gnawing pain! 
So stop and look and rest a while!
Remember all that's good
Let bygones be bygones
Make some new memories if you can
Such a simple little way to change your ways for good!
