I thought it definitely worth a second look
If we had enough of love in our lives
Could we truly live long enough to see
How blessed life was for you and for me
For if love is like the glorious golden sun
And rain came to dull the world just a bit
Could we still not see the beauty of it all
Amid the dappled shade beneath tall trees
Even if our lives were hanging underneath a pall
Could we accept that life is blessed by degrees
A little love and laughter to get us through
The sadness that must come for me and you
The beauty that is living life to the max
Yet accepting that there must be a few tacks
To put a puncture in all of our tyres
To let the air out: let off some steam
Even though we all must be able to dream
So everything must have a beginning
Every good thing must surely come to an end
If we cannot stand straight then we must bend
Allowing that there is a season to every living thing
How much more joy then would life bring
In acceptance: in appreciation: in loving
And knowing too that all good things must finally end...

I wish you enough sun
To keep your attitude bright...
I wish you enough rain
To appreciate the sun more...
I wish you enough happiness
To keep your spirit alive...
I wish you enough pain
So the smallest joys of life
Appear much bigger...
I wish you enough loss
To satisfy your wanting...
I wish you enough hellos
To get you through the final goodbye...
