When love begins

The uniqueness of love's beginning
Differences that make us worth the winning
For, were we to celebrate this newness?
Could we really and truly care less?
About the coincidences of love's first bliss
The look of love within another's eyes
The touch of sweetness upon those lips
A mesmerising gift of heart's desires
Too tantalising to be denied it's true
Would that it could be me and you...
Longing for that very first warm touch
Do you and I ask for way too much?
Only let it be true love's first kiss
That shines a light more brightly
That shares the beauty of eve's sunset
Those glorious rose gold hues that bring
Those twinkling stars from ebony skies
Then as full moon rises into balmy skies
The shining look of love within his eyes
Becomes the lure that takes your breath away
And holds love captive for eternal days...

The beginning of love
Is to let those we love
Be perfectly themselves
And not to twist them
To fit our own image
Otherwise we love only
The reflection of ourselves
We find in them...
