We had a Grinders coffee break
In old Kadina town all
Enclosed within a tiny oasis!
With date palms and another
With huge leaves like umbrellas
And even a fruit salad plant
In attendance!
It's flowers were huge
Like a massive banana:
A big green appendage!
The plant's other name; like giant lily
Is Monteria something-or-other
But it doesn't really matter!
There was a lovely green fern too
As we sat in the shade there
Relaxing! We shopped at Target Country
Near the end of our escapade
Before heading back to Port Wakefield!
Though I looked around
The others didn't even notice
The cigarette butts on the ground
This must be the smoker's retreat
As they wait at night for their pizzas!
