My old man

He can't seem to sleep in bed unless he's snoring
He gets up but is tired every day: sleep apnoea maybe?
I found him fast asleep in his chair today: in the lounge room
How he slept there I cannot tell: the music was blaring!
I know he's going a bit deaf: he won't use that hearing aid!
My poor old man is slowing down for sure: for that there is no cure!
Old age creeps up on you while you're busy living: it's unforgiving!
You can't seem to remember what you were up to: just minutes ago!
He fell asleep once before at band practice: they were insulted!
Yes my old man is getting old: slowing down: just like me!
