Has that old Christmas Spirit got you yet?
Do you feel like giving lest you not get?
What a shame it only lasts a day?
How could anybody live that way?
If only we could let it take hold
And make us break that selfish mold
‘Tis Christ’s Birthday we celebrate!
So how come it’s we and not He?
All the presents get?
Somehow it appears to me
There’s more that needs to be!
More giving to the poor and old
To the weak and lame
All in dear Jesus’ name!
