The Watchers

He stays up late at night
Can't sleep so he plays his games

He's alone in his room; that's right
Listening to her sleeping sounds
She talks to him in her dreams
Though she doesn't realise it
He answers her; his voice calms her
She needs someone to watch over her
He watches and waits
He is the voice of re-assurance
He has all the time in the world

When she is asleep
He walks upon the earth
Feels like a million miles away
Though it's just the other side
When her sun comes up
His moon is glowing and
He goes to sleep
She listens to him as he sleeps
He calls her name; she answers
They are tied together
By a silken web;
Thinner than the moon's rays
They communicate; they think alike
They are like twins
They need each other
like a baby needs
Its security blanket
Snuggled up close
Secure in each other!
