At 5:41am I was awakened;
Amy and Kia eager to go
outside
The air was frosty; cold as
ice
I didn’t know what drew me
out
But saw a most amazing sight
The moon and stars aligned;
so bright!
Pleiades, quarter moon; bright
star: Venus
Even bigger brighter one:
Jupiter
Sparkling like the sun
And then above and to the
right
Orion’s belt was in plain
sight
My eyes and brain were
freaking out
That I should so privileged
be!
To view this most amazing sight
On this truly magical night
Shining down from the
heavens up above
The dearest Lord blessed me
tonight!
Every night I go outside and peer up into the night skies, praying for a shooting star; sometimes I have been rewarded thus!
