Down at the beach at Largs North: many years ago
Taking the nieces & nephew for some fun
Nana Lindy had brought them all on the train to Largs Bay
That's where we lived way back then: so many years ago!
The beach was just a short walk away: down the street
It was easy to get there to have our fun: easy to complete
We walked along with our beach towels, buckets & spades
Knowing that everything was going to be okay!
Kaiser came with us too! Couldn't leave him behind!
He loved to gambol on the beach come rain, hail or shine!
The wind was a bit blowy but we didn't really mind
For we were headed for adventure: the wet & sandy kind!
Now Kaiser was a good loving dog: took his job seriously
Knew that he had to take care of us all: he was happy: deliriously!
Kept an eye on all of us: rounded us all up regularly!
He even took Samantha by the arm & tried to lead her out
He obviously thought she'd gone too deep: well not really!
He was just like an old mother hen: wagging his tail about
Barking if we went too far: making us scream & shout!
Oh the lovely time we had down at the beach; many years ago!
