I am disappointed in the city folk
They must think it's quite a joke
To have their kittens and their cake too!
Buying pets for Christmas time
Then dumping them in the countryside
What are we supposed to do?
Cats are killers; look on-line (Killer cats)
They kill wildlife; birds and skinks
They love the thrill of hunting and hijinks
We farmers and country dudes
Just don't like your attitude!
I've inherited a Siamese cat I call Mao
She was lost, starving: skin and bones
Put up notices and signs too!
But no-one wants to claim their pet
We have so many strays and ferals too
City folk: shame on you!
