We drove across the border
Our destination: Wentworth
Arrived at about 8 pm at night
Dinner at the Wentworth Club
Met up with Ian's brother Leigh
We went camping near a creek
Pitched our tents and had some fun
Camp fire blazing in the dark...
We drove around, chased some rabbits
Poor things were on the run as
The guys drove after them with guns
We roasted some potatoes in the fire
Covered in al-foil; yummy late night snack
Yes I did enjoy those spuds that night...
We were woken early in the morning
On the 18th of May...my brother's birthday
The irate farmer had called the cops
We were trespassing on his property
There was no access to the river there...
The guys had gone down the wrong track
It was too late to apologise by then...
A policeman confiscated all the guns
They wouldn't be able to get them back
For at least 3 long months...
