Went to the Berri disco with Debbie and Kathy
We had some fun dancing around for a while
Debbie was ever the extrovert...
Never a dull moment when she was around...
Alec was there with Michael Bacskai too
We drove across the river to Loxton
I remember the night very well...
Three young women out to have some fun
Dancing: not romancing: just for some fun
"Deb mucked around a bit" my diary says
She was always easy on the eyes...
Full of mischief, smart and likeable
The guys were mesmerized...
We sat around and danced with a couple of guys
They were from the city working in the area
Doing some road maintenance if I recall
Driving in their car for long hours at a time
Having a bit of fun after a long week
We flirted and then went on our way
Heading back to drop Kathy off in Renmark
I still remember getting pulled over by the cops
It was early in the morning by then...
Nearly caught speeding down the main stretch
Ralral Avenue at about 2 am...
But he saw that we were just a few girls
Heading home after our fun...
We weren't hurting anyone...
So he let us go upon our merry way
Ah I still remember that night of play...
