Richard and Celia and their four girls
Returning from Darwin to live here again
We arrived at the airport in our little car
Nana and Tim and I: to find it so busy
Mark didn't turn up to help us: a pity
So Richard had to catch a taxi
While we all squashed into that tiny car
Cases and all crammed into the back...
We stayed up talking well into the night
It was 3am when we could talk no more...
Took Celia shopping the very next day
To K-mart just across the road
Car wouldn't start so we all walked home
Luckily it was just around the corner
And up the road a little way
Promised the girls a colouring book each
Pencils too, textas for Sam and Leesa to use
Ah that was a time when it was easier to play
Simple things for little children to pass the day
