Prayer for entering the wedding feast

Dear gracious, merciful heavenly Father
We come before thy throne of grace...
We ask for guidance: you hear our prayers
You send answers as you see fit...
We beg your guidance, understanding and love
These blessings you send us from above...
Oh dearest Lord we are useless: weak
Yet we should be ever more: meek
Into thy hands we must surrender our burdens
That you may keep us safe, lift us over hurdles
Only you have the power to save and guide us
Only you are the perfection and love, beside us
Please lead us moment by moment...
Please help us to see...
Let your light shine upon us as we plead
For without you we are less than nothing...
Without you, what hope have we?
These simple human hearts bow down before thee
Begging that you open up our hearts and eyes
That you give us comfort to realise...
That we are clothed in filthy rags...
Our righteousness is nothing to your eyes
Without Jesus, we are filthy, despised
We can only come into thy wedding feast
Clothed in Jesus' righteousness...
Cleansed of sin and enfolded in thy loving arms
Only you can truly keep us safe from harm
Only through your blessings divine...
Are we ever worthy those steps to climb
Grant us favour in your blessed eyes
Cover us with your promises...
Keep us safe from harm, lifted up in thy loving arms
There; dearest Lord we do long to be...
Comforted, surrounded, cared for, set free...
Allow us dear Father, heavenly entry
Clothed in Jesus' righteousness let us be
Ever humbled, meek and mild...
Let us understand how it must be...
Without Jesus' white raiment: righteousness
Without Jesus' gold; tried in fire: faith and love
Without Jesus' eye salve: spiritual discernment
We cannot hope to enter in...
Please bring us as welcome guests
To thy blessed wedding feast
Amen
