Kaiser was our beautiful German Shepherd
We loved him so very much: he got married
Tara was his panting bride: she was a cute dog
Kaiser became a dad on the 20th of December
Way back in 1979...the year we got married
I remember when Tara started 'nesting'
Knowing she would soon give birth...
Julie and little Guy came around; helped organise
For I didn't know what was needed...
Had no idea: no inkling of what I should do...
Tara gave birth to 6 little puppies over that night
The first was born before midnight
5 more arrived before 6 am on the 21st
My diary says Tara had just turned one on Sunday
The 2nd of December, just a few weeks before...
Without my old diary...I would never have recalled
