It is only through Jesus that we may approach
It is only through Jesus we are welcome at all
To the wedding feast in heaven up above...
For sinful man was destined to take his fall...
It is only through Jesus we may enter in...
But our filthy rags must be changed from within
Into the pure white raiment that is Jesus gift...
Without this garment: none may enter in...
So...would you exchange your filthy rags?
Would you allow Jesus to provide for you
The blessed white wedding garment of his faith
"Buy of me gold tried in the fire" Jesus begs
It is through His faith and love: provided freely...
This white raiment is Christ's righteousness
Put it on if you would deign to enter in...
Allow Him to anoint thine eyes with eye-salve
This spiritual discernment is necessary too
For without it will you will be lost eternally...
Look through dear Jesus' eyes: open wide
Understanding of His blessings will be thy guide
There is nothing in us...
With which we can clothe the soul...
So that darkness is not seen...
Only with Christ's righteousness: character
This robe woven in the loom of heaven
Made for us in heaven...
Freely given unto us right here on earth
Can we ever hope to enter in
To that blessed wedding feast...
